Javelin Slugs are designed to maximize the ballistic coefficient and combine it with high impact.
The Slugs are ballistic tested with Doppler radar resulting in quality slugs.
The tangent ogive (the so-called bullet shape) and just-finished meplat (flat front), contribute there to a ballistic coefficient of 0.081. Perfect for use at long distances and greatly reduced sensitivity to external factors.
Upon impact, the hollow points cause the slug to deform rapidly. Which results in a great shock effect.
