What is an air gun?

As with air rifles, the bullets from air pistols are fired by air pressure. The main difference between air rifles and air pistols is the length of the weapon. For example, air pistols have short barrels and air rifles have long barrels. Our offer consists of very powerful air guns.

Air guns with great firepower

Looking for a powerful air gun? In our assortment you will find several powerful air guns. The power of an air gun depends on the amount of pressure that can be built up in the gun. High-pressure air pistols shoot bullets harder and thus have higher firepower. This also depends on the power source of the air gun. For example, there is a difference between CO2 air guns, PCP air guns and articulated air guns.

Articulated (spring) air guns

The articulated air guns are the most well-known air guns. Air pistols with this power source are ideal for novice shooters. This is due to the inexpensive price and because of its easy use. The articulated air guns can be very powerful, but the CO2 air guns and PCP air guns are even more powerful.

PCP air pistols

If you are looking for a really powerful air gun, the compressed air gun is a must. Compressed air guns are known for high precision, power and low recoil. A PCP pistol is ideal for people who want to shoot longer distances. An added advantage of compressed air pistols is that you can shoot multiple times in a row. These air guns are also considered automatic or multi-shot air guns.

CO2 air guns

Like the PCP air guns, the CO2 air guns are very powerful. The difference is in the drive of the gun. CO2 guns are powered by liquid CO2 gas. CO2 pistols are air guns with a magazine. This also makes it a multi-shot air pistol. CO2 guns do tend to be less powerful than compressed air guns. Furthermore, a CO2 air pistol is known for its little recoil resulting in high precision.

Which caliber do you choose?

The size of the caliber of the bullet affects the power of the air pistol. The larger the caliber, the more power you need. The more force you use the greater the recoil will be. This can greatly affect precision. This is the reason for many people to choose smaller calibers. Our range includes large calibers, but also definitely the smaller calibers, such as 4.5mm (.177) and 5.5mm (.22).

Legislation surrounding air pistols

It is legal in the Netherlands to own an air pistol if you are 18 or older. However, there are some rules attached to having an air gun:

  • An air pistol may not bear a telling resemblance to a firearm. For caliber and power, you have no restrictions.
  • You may only shoot air pistols on your own property. Own land means furnished shooting ranges or on own land.
  • You may not shoot at animals or other living things. Only target shooting, such as shooting cards or bullet traps, is allowed.
  • An air gun must be properly stored during transport. This is to prevent immediate use. It is highly recommended to purchase a gun case for this purpose.
  • You need to be mindful of the environment. Shooting with weapons such as air pistols can cause noise pollution. Therefore, shoot at times when other people are not affected. To avoid noise pollution altogether, you can also buy an air gun with a silencer.
